
Baked White Cheddar Mac and Cheese

INGREDIENTS:
For Mac and Cheese:
-16 oz. short cut uncooked pasta (we used ca
-3 cups milk (we used 1% milk)
-2 cups chicken broth (or veggie broth)
-1/2 tsp. garlic powder
-1/4 tsp. black pepper
-1/2 tsp. salt
-2 Tbsp. butter
-2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
-2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
For Topping:
-1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
-1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
-2 Tbsp. melted butter
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a large baking dish add in 16 oz. short cut uncooked pasta, 3 cups milk, 2 cups chicken broth, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, 1/4 tsp. black pepper, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Stir together, cover with foil, and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until pasta is al dente.
2. While that’s baking make a topping with 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs, 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, and 2 Tbsp. melted butter. Save for later.
3. To the cooked pasta, ad on 2 Tbsp. butter, 2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese, and 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. Stir that until melted.
4. Evenly spread the breadcrumb mixture over the mac and cheese. Broil on high for about 5 minutes, but watch it closely so it doesn’t burn.
